Northwich A and Macclesfield A were the two representatives from Cheshire to attend the National Finals at Great Yarmouth. Unfortunately for Macc, they didn't get out the group stage, they beat Dawley B 10-0, lost to Andover 10-4 and then lost to Chelmsford A 10-9. However, it was Northwich A who went on to the Last 16 but they lost to the eventual winners Colchester. Their journey began in the group stage by losing 10-9 to St Neots A, beating Shrewsbury B 10-9 and then beating Folkestone A 10-3. In the last 64 they beat Maidenhead A very comfortably 10-3 and in the last 32 against Clacton A, it ended 9-9 with a 3 way playoff, and it was Steve Moores, Darryl Fallows and Eric Webber who took them to victory by winning 11-9. In the last 16, they came across a very tough side in Colchester and lost 10-4. Well done Northwich A, another great achievement for you.

INTERLEAGUE NATIONAL FINALS GREAT YARMOUTH - APRIL 2017
Macclesfield A were the only representatives for Cheshire on this occasion and travelled across to Great Yarmouth to compete in the National Finals. In their group, teams from Staffordshire (Stone League), Nottinghamshire (The Club) and Essex (Crawley B) battled it out to become the top two teams. Their first opponents were Crawley B and Macc comfortably beat them 10-4. Their next opponents were The Club, who were in their group last year and beat Macc 10-6, but Macc were out for revenge and did just that by beating them 10-8, these two wins put them top of the group and through to the last 64. Their next match was against Blackburn Cabin Crew and this didn't start well by losing the first two frames, Macc pulled it back to two a piece, but then lost the next three, by the end of the first session Macc were trailing 6-3. Macc came back strong in the second half, pulling it back to 8-8, but it was just unfortunate that the last two frames went the opposite way and Macc lost 8-10. A great team effort and team spirit once again came from these players. Well done everyone. A special mention to Ryan Cox winning 5/5.
INTERLEAGUE K/O CUP GREAT YARMOUTH - OCTOBER 2016
Macclesfield A and B were the only two teams from Cheshire this year to venture across to Great Yarmouth to compete in the K/O Cup. Macc B were in the first group with Leek B, Battersea A and Cambridge. With Macc B only having 8 players, it was a tough start to begin with, but Leek B were in the same boat, but it was Leek who had the edge by winning 10-8. It was down to Macc B to beat Cambridge to stay in the competition, but unfortunately they lost 10-7 to them. Macc A were in group 4 with Waterloo, Clacton and Bromsgrove. Waterloo were their first opponents, they knew this was a tough team as they had 3 internationals on their side and found themselves losing 10-5. The next match was against Bromsgrove, a close game all the way and Macc A beat them 10-8. To stay in the Competition their 3rd match was a 'must win' against an experienced Clacton, after being down at half time, Macc A pulled it back to 9-8, but lost the last one for a 9-9 all draw. Dave Cobey was the man for the playoff, after a good clearance he found himself snookered on his last ball and unfortunately missed it, giving his opponent 2 shots. Clacton won the match 10-9. A special mention to Dave Cobey who reached the Last 32 of the Mens' Amateur Championships.

Crewe and Macclesfield A travelled to Great Yarmouth to compete in the National Finals, but unfortunately neither of the teams finished first or second in their respective groups.
Macc A played their first match on the live streaming tables and took the first session comfortably with a 6-3 lead against Hayes & Uxbridge A. The gas was taken off and they found themselves 9-9, leaving a playoff. Dave Cobey was the man for the job as an experienced player for these occasions, but one mistake lead to the opponent taking the win. The second match in their group against The Club really didn't get going after their gruelling first match, and they lost 10-6. Dave Cobey also reached the last 16 of the qualifiers for the World Championships and narrowly missed out on competing at Blackpool.
Crewe played Bedford Bandits in their first match and found themselves 6-3 down after the first session, with an uphill struggle, they lost 10-4. Their second match against MK Ballbags, once again they were 6-3 down in the first session and lost 10-3 overall.

In the last 64 they beat Gosport by a 3 way playoff 11-10. In the last 32 against Mermaid A it was once again a 3 way playoff and Macc won 11-9 taking them into the last 16. Peterborough Court were their next opponents on the live streaming tables and once again a 9-9 draw making it their third, 3 way playoff. It was the 3 Amigos' Dave, Des and Roy who took them to victory once again by winning 11-9. Unfortuntately it was not meant to be in the last 8 as they came up against Frames Reigate and lost 10-4. They showed spirit and determination in all their games and did themselves, Macclesfield and Cheshire proud.

They lost their first game against S.L.K.P.A 2 10-8, won their 2nd match against New Barnet A 10-4 and then came up against S.L.K.P.A 2 again for a place in the last 64, this time they beat them 10-7.
